Delegates at the Bodies From The Library conference last Saturday were treated to insights into the science behind the Golden Age Detective Fiction – what the authors got right (plaudits to Agatha for her poisons) and, more amusingly, what they got wrong (sometimes catastrophically, mentioning no names!). All of these were delivered with dry wit by Brian Price, but unfortunately, owing to a glitch in distribution, delegates were not able to buy copies of Brian’s book, Crime Writing: How to Write The Science, on which much of his talk was based.
